What you should know
Account panel work is a broad phrase used in online job and commission offers. Some offers may ask a person to provide access to a personal bank account, receive money, withdraw cash or forward funds to someone else. The phrase alone does not establish whether a particular activity is lawful. The actual transactions, authorisation and source of funds matter.
Never allow an unknown person to operate your bank account. A transfer described as salary, gaming funds, testing or commission can still expose you to disputes, account restrictions or investigation if the money is connected to fraud.
warning signs
- Promises of unusually high commission for simple transfers
- requests for account login, OTP, UPI PIN, debit card or SIM access
- instructions to receive funds and immediately forward them
- pressure to keep the activity secret
- requests to install remote-access apps or share screens.
Safer next steps
Do not share credentials or accept transfers for strangers. Verify any employer independently, ask your bank about unclear transactions, and get qualified legal advice if you are unsure.
For suspected financial cyber fraud in India, call 1930 promptly or visit cybercrime.gov.in. Contact your bank through its official channel.
